What a tenday!
May. 2nd, 2006 05:49 pmIt may be just my rpging experience in the Realms, but anyway it's more appropriate than 'what a week'.
Mum came back from Holland with the flu, so I've been continuosly running up and down the stairs to check on her, carry food, making conversation and so. It would have been nothing, if, at the same time, I didn't have to work (and half the schools in my province are having the usual talks with the parents, so they need the Chinese translator yesterday, besides, of course, the usual housewifey work...
...thank heavens she's recovering now (her high temperature gave everybody a scare) and thanks that Tiziano isn't the kind of husband who espects to be revered and served (I know too many men of that kind).
I'm happy I didn't have to ask an extension for my June column of EMGzine, it was in the day before the deadline...joy!
Sometimes I believe I must have been crazy to volunteer as a columnist, I'm neither a journalist or a native speaker...in fact if I'd stopped to think I would have been daunted by the task, but I discovered I really like it, it forces me to do research, think over strange subjects, mind my syntax and grammar (even though punctuation isn't my strong suit in any language, Chinese included).
I hope the readers like it though.
I realize, of course, that artists are more interested in technical features, be it scanning work, art supplies or how to build a killer portfolio, but I would love to know if I'm boring people to death or somebody is looking forward to reading 'myths and symbols' sometimes.
No I'm not whining, really, just curious... :-)
