Just got confirmation for my first book request through BookMooch.

It is "The Loose Thread: The Red Moon Anthology of English Language Haiku" Author:Jim Kacian.

Will be on it's way here from New Zealand by tomorrow...I can't wait already.

That I know, Olga.
I think I never really considered late-twentieth century paperbacks as potential rare books. In my mind they are the epitome of mass-market product, an unconscious limitation of mine, I guess.

I see :) Btw, the books I mentioned, are not paperbacks (in the meaning we use it here). Especially haiga books are rarely paperbacks -- they are usually made as a gift books or photo albums...

Yes, the ones in your list I saw (and drooled over)...just like the book Bette mentioned (and put up pictures of) in her LJ earlier.
So many fascinating books available over there...it's a torture. If I were to travel to the US I'd come with an empty suitcase.

The copy available on Amazon UK of the book Deborah is looking for *is* a paperback.

...And now I'm extremely curious about it, and the master haijin the book is about.

Oh, I've already made my poor husband a bankrupt wiht all the haiku book, and sumi-e books/videos/supplies ... (sigh)

And now, come to listen to Japanese haiku read by Japanese! (wink, wink)
